The All American Canal Lining Project is one of the largest water conservation projects in the United States. It is a historically significant project that will build a new 23-mile long concrete canal parallel to the existing Canal. The original Canal was constructed in the 1930’s. The purpose of making a parallel canal is to eliminate the water seepage that is going into Mexico. Water is a scarce commodity and the United States needs to take all necessary steps to ensure the water supply is adequate.

MBI Media is working in conjunction with the Imperial Irrigation District (IID) and Parsons. Multiple roles are played by MBI Media. The first and very important role is to photographically document the building of the canal on a monthly basis. The photographs are then uploaded into the MBI Media proprietary web-based archival library for viewing by the project managers and involved parties on the project.

The second role MBI Media is responsible for is creating PowerPoint presentations that the IID is using quarterly. Our photographs and video is used to make a compelling presentation about the building of the canal and to show the progress that is being made.

Our third and extremely important role is to produce a historic video documentary on the building of the canal. Research on the original canal is being done so that it can be included in the documentary. Our team of specialists is using aerial photography as well as videography for this documentary. MBI Media is a three time Emmy Award-winning firm and is looking to win another Emmy for this historic documentation.
