Summary

Metro is required to comply with federal and state laws to develop a Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). Metro has made the decision to obtain input from the public about transportation before concluding its new plan. The updated plan will be a 40-year blueprint for spending future transportation dollars and to operate and maintain Metro’s current system. Our Next LA* is Metro’s multi-year LRTP effort to collect diverse voices and stories throughout L.A. County. These ideas will help to shape the future of transportation and access countywide.

Achievements:

• Collaborated with Metro on project branding (Our Next LA* campaign)
• Conducted grassroots outreach at 33 events across L.A. County
• Created and distributed public surveys, garnering more than 20,000 responses in Phase I of outreach
• Distributed nearly 4,000 unique “My Next LA” Post-its for stakeholders at community events
• Conducted more than140 public interviews
